13 January 1928.  Sandino to General Manuel Echevarria.

Sandino

Echevarria, Manuel

General --------, His Headquarters.

Esteemed companion:

My desire is that this finds you and General Jiron well.  There is nothing new here, only that I have received information that the invaders are still encamped at San Albino, which does not make me cold or hot.  You will see how they will fear my army.  In Quilali they could do nothing, so if they try anything around San Albino they will leave us their supply train.  Today four columns left, one of fifty men with General Montoya, one of thirty men at the command of Captain Blandon, and also Colonel Colindres will leave with thirty men.  They will have 100 men which is not enough for our boys who left today to look for them.  In respect to the data which we are going to send, be informed that we will send same after seeing the results of our last operations.  Tell me something about the impressions of General Jiron and salute him in my name.
