El Chipote. 11 de enero 1928.
Lt. Tomás Méndez, La Mojada.
Dear companion and friend:
I received your letter stating that you cannot find a
place to get salt for the food of those under
your command; and that you wish I furnish it to
you. I have no salt here, we are eating
the meat without any salt because it has not
been possible to get any for us, for the enemy
is in front, and that is the reason why nobody
brings anything for us, but be patient and when
we get some we will send some to you. I
greet you and your companions,
Patria y Libertad
