   Campamento 'Las Cuchiyas', 30 April 1930

   My dear Tinita:

   I have today the pleasure to write to you in order to send you a remembrance of embraces and kisses of your sweetheart and I hope that on receipt of this letter that you are in good health and that you ----------. I am in very good health thanks to God and I have not had any inconvenience, and let me tell you that I live in constant desire of seeing you but it has not been my fault nor through any lack of affection, but because you know very well that a subaltern cannot do whatever he desires to do, but if God grants that we meet again some day I shall show you my affections. You know very well that I have shown you all my affection and that -------- because I love you with all my soul and I assure you that there shall not be another.

   I received a very affectionate letter from Victorina and some cigars and tobacco by Santos Basquez. I sent her some stockings and if I have no difficulties I shall send her some other things. It does not matter if we do not see each other as long as you know that you have my affection.

   Do not fear that I mistrust your faithfulness because I have never mistrusted you. Dear sweetheart receive love and kisses from your lover who is faithful to you.
