Summary & Notes:

Marine patrol in the Dept. of Carazo, far to the south of Las Segovias, encountering an outlaw band of 20 men with no affiliation to the EDSN.  One man killed.
Shows continuing presence of bands of common criminals in the most heavily populated districts of the country.  Also shows Marines assuming police duties when their mission is to suppress a political insurgency, not fight common criminality.
Appreciation is extended to Lebanon Valley College student Ian Rex for transcribing this document.
