General Manuel Echeverría, San Albino,
Colonel Irías met the enemy at Murra and one of the boys
came with a small scratch and said that the Colonel went to
place another ambush further ahead because the Machos came
out happy, I believe that on finding out that the boys were
on the hills, they must have tried to take the hills, and
the boys must have gotten scared and disoccupied the
heights. It must have been Quintero, and I believe he can do
something unless the Yankees have gone to Ciudad Sandino.
There are eighteen Constabularies and the Colonel has
twenty, but I believe that the position which they tried to
take was occupied by only five. Estrada is here and I sent
him fifty men with two machine-guns because the other gunner
already arrived. I want you to be the chief of this patrol
for your greater success, and I will send Don Coronado who
is there organizing, and if I can't send him I will send
another one, but it must be right away.
