For your information
regarding the status of bandit
prisoners, I wish to acquaint
you with the following facts:
On the 24th of March, 1930,
one Salvador Gomez, a bandit
prisoner in the Northern Area
was submitted to the District
Criminal Judge at Ocotal for
trial. His statement, in which
he confesses to relations with
the bandits and also to having
acted as a spy for them together
with the statements of four
other witnesses, were submitted
in his case.
The final action of the judge
translated into English is as
follows:
"District
Judicature.--Ocotal, 20 June,
1930. 10:30 in the
morning.--Not appearing from the
present proceedings, the
commission of a common crime,
but rather acts, the cognizance
of which corresponds to the
administrative and military
authorities, they are passed to
the Comandante de Armas of the
Department for his knowledge.
